Hesnarj is a mausoleum world (also known as a "mourning world") where individuals from many different races and planets are interred. The planet has a lengthy (by terrestrial standards) daily rotation of just over fifty-seven hours.

The planet orbits a star name Hesblif.

The first human to be buried on Hesnarj was Conroy's great aunt, Fiona Katherine St. Vincent Wyndmoor, in the year 2072.

Four years later, 2076, Conroy himself was temporarily marooned on Hesnarj, a circumstance that gave rise to his career as a stage hypnotist (c.f., his origin as detailed in "Requiem").

Angela (Gel) Colson visited Hesnarj to retrieve a body in Ace of Corpses, in 2094.
