The Veng are a humanoid race, but generally shorter than humans. They are typically just over a meter and a half tall, with scaly, orange skin, and triangular flaps that lay flat against the head where humans keep their ears. Veng typically dress in togas, ornamented with colorful sashes that indicate the "rist" of the wearer.

Veng are oviparous and make use of a process for concatenating multiple fertilized eggs, resulting in newborns emerging fully-grown. There are no Veng children.

The Veng are also quite gregarious. While they don’t tend to venture out among other species, every planet under their influence has an open immigration policy. Veng like to be among other races, they just want the other races to come to them.

The Veng have six sexes. Only one is female and the other five are variants on male.

As a rule, the Veng do not care for pets. It's common knowledge that only crazy people have them.
