Pre-Industrial Veng

Remnants of this language from the Veng's homeworld still linger, particularly items that are so bound to Veng culture that they don't have meaning in Traveler or other trade languages.

An example of this is the term mintaro which refers to a coincidental, unrelated individual, typically of a different rist who, due to circumstances of time and place, is burdened with legal responsibility for another. The term has negative connotations, sometimes even derogatory meaning, because to be someone's mintaro devalues the bearer’s rist.
