Tosh
Tosh: Visually identical to Clarkesons, the Tosh are not colony creatures in humanoid form, but actually served as the template from which the Clarkesons developed. Both species evolved on the same planet and initially formed a symbiotic union, the Tosh providing mobility and strength and the Clarkeson bringing intellect and heightened senses. Over time, the Clarkesons organized their colonies into humanoid bodies thus ending their need for their hosts and the Tosh developed sapience. For centuries, the Tosh served the role of a servitor species for the Clarkesons, though they outnumbered them 10 to 1. This ended when the Clarkesons developed spaceflight and the majority of them left their homeworld to wander the galaxy. Those who stayed, feared for their own safety as they were now outnumbered more than 1000 to 1 by the Tosh. Their solution was to completely enslave them, at least in the main cities. Smaller towns, and one entire continent, were completely abandoned by the Clarkesons. Tosh who managed to escape enslavement hid in these abandoned areas and slowly mastered the remnants of technology they found, over time dragging themselves up by their own bootstraps, until some few were able to venture out into the galaxy where they were routinely mistaken for Clarkesons, bearing the burden of their former rulers reputation. They have brightly colored hair and fish-belly complexions. The overall look resembles that of a circus clown. Unlike Clarkesons, they prefer drab-colored, utilitarian garments. First appearance: “Requiem” where Conroy hypnotized one, mistaking it for a Clarkeson.
