Traveler

Traveler is the name of a trade language spoken throughout Human Space. It permits wildly different alien races to communicate. Other invented languages that serve a similar purpose are Shpoto and Hrel.

Most Humans who have encountered aliens believe that Traveler is the only trade language in play. It simply doesn't occur to them that there might be any others. In fact, Taveler accounts for less than eight percent of the trade languages spoken in the galaxy.
