Tosh: Visually identical to Clarkesons, the Tosh are not colony creatures in humanoid form, but actually served as the template from which the Clarkesons developed. Both species evolved on the same planet and initially formed a symbiotic union, the Tosh providing mobility and strength and the Clarkeson bringing intellect and heightened senses. Over time, the Clarkesons organized their colonies into humanoid bodies thus ending their need for their hosts and the Tosh developed sapience. For centuries, the Tosh served the role of a servitor species for the Clarkesons, though they outnumbered them 10 to 1. This ended when the Clarkesons developed spaceflight and the majority of them left their homeworld to wander the galaxy. The Tosh inherited the Clarkesons' abandoned cities and technology and over time dragged themselves up by their own bootstraps. Most Tosh remain on that homeworld. Those few that have ventured out into the galaxy are routinely mistaken for Clarkesons, and bear the burden of their former rulers reputation. They have brightly colored hair and fish-belly complexions. The overall look resembles that of a circus clown. Unlike Clarkesons, they prefer drab-colored, utilitarian garments. First appearance: “Requiem” where Conroy hypnotized one, mistaking it for a Clarkeson.
